William Bassett was called yeoman and innkeeper. He resided at Duxbury and Sandwich. He was born in 1624 and died before May 29,1670. He married Mary Rainsford, daughter of Edward and Mary Rainsford of Boston. She was born on June 1,1632 and died at Falmouth, Mass. on April 12,1694. She administered his estate and married again to James Percival of Sandwich.
