This is the actual countershaft that goes through the ends of the case and through the countershaft gear cluster. The original shaft is shown at front. There was a little wear at each end where the bearings ride. It might have been ok, but as long as I was here I ordered an new one from David Kee - shown in the back. This is one of those cases where just starting with David's large kit would pay off. A new countershaft comes with the larger kit, not with the small.
