The initial Edelbrock intake manifold in the process of cleaning. This turned into a long story - one that ended with me "scrapping" this used manifold and buying a new one. Cleaning this one revealed a hole in one of the intake "tubes". This version of Edelbrock manifold had very tight clearance for four of the manifold bolts. Undersized bolts were required, and even those were a tight fit. Apparently the previous owner ground away some of the casting to create clearance for a socket. On one of the four bolts he got too aggressive and poked a hole through the casting. It took me 5 months to finally find a heli-arc welder to plug the hole for me. He did a very nice job. However, lack of pushrod clearance (stay tuned...) caused me to go for a new one.....
